Assuming that we are talking tenors then you would be better off with an American Cut reed - such as a Rico Orange, Vandoren v16, or Rico Jazz Select Unfiled. I use an Alexander NY reed on my Phil-Tone/Theo Wanne Tribute 7* mouthpiece - best Link type I've played, and it is excellent. For a 6* mouthpiece a 2.5 should be fine.
